Traditional Peanut Butter Blossom
In the beginning, we will start by saying that the peanut butter blossom cookies are fantastic. Then, what we’ll say is that, there are not many people who don’t like these. Besides that, they got a delicious partnership of flavor, peanut butter and chocolate, aside from, sugar all over the peanut butter. As a result, these are the kind of cookies that you will end up eating too many. Now, the recipe that you’re about to use is the results, of lots of trial and error, and as a result, perfection is made. With that in mind, how about we get started making some of these delicious cookies.
What you are going to need:
½ cup Peanut Butter
1 Egg
½ cup Sugar
2 tablespoons Milk
½ cup Shortening
1 teaspoon Vanilla
½ cup Brown Sugar
1¾ cups Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
½ teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
12 oz or more bag Hersey® Kiss® candies (Remove the foil wrappers)
Bowl with some sugar in it
Mixing bowl with Blender
Spoon
Baking Pans (Recommend using parchment paper) or grease pan using shortening or cooking spray.

Lets begin making the Peanut butter blossom:
Preheat oven for 350.
½ cup Shorteningyou are going to need your blender and mixing bowl. First, start by adding the peanut butter, and shortening, then cream those in the blender on medium.
½ cup Brown Sugarstart adding the sugar and brown sugar to the creamed mixture and continue to cream.
2 Tbsp. Milk
1 tsp. Vanillacreamed the next step is adding egg, milk, and vanilla, while continuing to cream. Once all is creamed then you are ready for the dry ingredients.
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Baking Powder
½ tsp. Saltflour if you like but it really doesn’t matter any. With that in mind, in a bowl add flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt, then mix those up good. After that, take your dry ingredients and add them to your creamed mixture and use a spoon to mix them together, until it is all mixed thoroughly. As a result, you will be ready to bake cookies.
Preparing for baking:
Then, place you dough balls in the sugar and roll them around, covering entire ball with sugar. Finally, place them on baking pan about 1 ½ inch apart. Therefore, the cookie will have room to flatten out while baking. Next, place in oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until slightly brown on bottom. In conclusion, place kiss® directly in the center of cookie immediately after removing from oven. Let cool some before removing from pan.
Makes about 3 dozen.
Also, you can use colored sugar on them too!
